Woman Crashes Car Into Tree on Wantagh Parkway

She was taken to a nearby hospital, and the severity of her injuries is unknown.

A woman was injured after crashing her car into a tree on the Wantagh Parkway Friday morning. 

According to East Meadow Fire Department Chief Walter Griffin, the motorist was heading south near Hempstead Turnpike around 11 a.m. when her vehicle hit the tree. Rescue 616 used tools to remove the driver’s door, as she was trapped inside.

She was taken to a nearby hospital, and the severity of her injuries is unknown. Fire officials added that she was the only person in the car, and the incident is still under investigation.

The NCPD, NCPD Emergency Ambulance Bureau, New York State Police and East Meadow Fire Department responded to the scene.
