Gladys Eisler, a retired school bus driver for the East Meadow School District, died Dec. 10. She was 95.
Born and raised in New York City, Ms. Eisler moved to nearby Levittown where she began her 30-year career as a school bus driver in the Levittown, East Meadow and Hicksville school districts.
She retired in 1995.
Ms. Eisler is survived by her daughters, Bette Ann Valick (Robert) and Suzanne Lowenbraun (Joe), and a sister, Dorothy Sloan of St. Augustine, FL.
She was laid to rest beside her husband, Paul, at Calverton National Cemetery. Memorials may be made in her name to The American Lung Association.
