NUMC Hosts 30th Annual Allergy Immunology Symposium

Nassau University Medical Center’s 30th annual Allergy Immunology Symposium held Oct. 3 was very well attended by almost 125 persons.

Speakers included Morris Ling, M.D, assistant in Medicine, Harvard Medical School, Allergy Immunology Unit, Boston MA who discussed " The Burden Of Difficult Asthma;" Anna Nowak-Wegrzyn, M.D, associate professor of pediatrics, Jaffe Food Allergy Institute, Division of Allergy & Immunology; Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Pediatric Allergy & Immunology, who discussed  "Current & Future Treatments of Food Allergy;" and Dr. Marianne Frieri, chief of allergy and immunology at NUMC, who discussed "Mast Cell Activating Syndromes and Anaphylaxis."
