Wild Cherryz Owner to Appear on 'Live From The Couch'

East Meadow resident Elizabeth DeGennaro sits down with CBS morning show co-host Carolina Bermudez.

Elizabeth DeGennaro, owner of Wild Cherryz Dance and Fitness Studio in East Meadow, sits down with Carolina Bermudez, CBS morning show co-host of "Live From the The Couch," Thursday.

The episode airs at 7:45 a.m. on channel 2.

DeGennaro, who opened the studio at 386 East Meadow Avenue a year ago, has produced and directed "Arcana Lace," a Wild Cherryz Burlesque show that's more than just sexy.

The 45-minute show, which starts at 8 p.m. Friday night at The Cutting Room in Manhattan, is inspired by DeGennaro’s showgirl role on the HBO hit series “Boardwalk Empire.”

DeGennaro, born and raised in East Meadow, wanted to create a show that's not only "free, fun and sexy" but also offers a theatrical storyline. It's not only choreographed dance numbers but the story of a woman trying to find her way into the entertainment world, using her talent to come out on top at the end of the show.

The Aug. 2 performance is the last of the summer but the show will continue monthly come the fall.

Wild Cherryz Dance and Fitness Studio offers classes for both men and women, including Ballet Bar fitness, pole dancing, boxing, burlesque, yoga, cardio,
all types of kids classes like hip hop, jazz, tap and ballet, personal training and more. Call the studio at 998-8308 for more information. To purchase tickets for Friday's burlesque show, "Arcana Lace," visit http://thecuttingroomnyc.com.
