East Meadow Fire Department Welcomes New Chief

The East Meadow Fire Department recently appointed a new fire chief.
Chief Walter P. Griffin was sworn into his new position during the department's Annual Swearing In Ceremony on Saturday. Before Griffin, John J. Priest served as the chief of the East Meadow Fire Department.

Other new officers sworn in include: 1st Asst. Chief Robert Salvesen Jr., 2nd Asst. Chief James Kane, 3rd Asst. Chief John McGee.
The ceremony, led by Commissioner Michael Finkelman, is a longstanding tradition within the organization.
