Here's a silly thought how about the players? you know the ones who committed the "crimes"…Read More since they are aduIts as to stop somewhere we have to stop blaming others for our childrens bad behavior .

Should teachers be held responsible for the kids they attempt to educate when they commit crimes? I…Read More dont think so but our society just keep pushing the blame on other people and not the low life CRIMINAL!!!. What a shame we have become. Good luck coach we are gonna miss ya!!!

If you can't afford the team, sell it! Plenty of people out there that would put their own money…Read More INTO the Mets and return class to the club.

The Mets are my team, but the Wilpons are clowns. I wish that they would sell the team to someone…Read More who is poroperly capitalized and interested in winning. The casino thing is a bad idea.

I reject the premise that "...a majority of Nassau County fans supported the Jets...."…Read More
This is based on the number of people who "like" a team, any team, on Facebook, which according to the article is only 10% of Facebook subscribers.
I was formerly a Jets fan back from when they started out at Shea Stadium. I had met Joe Namath, had a cup of coffee with him back in the day, just the two of us. I was immensely proud of the New York Sack Exchange, back in the day. But those days, as well as the Jets themselves, are all gone now.
Rex Ryan is not someone who could inspire me as a fan; he's more of a punch line to laugh at now and again.
Today I am a Giants fan, but I could watch a Superbowl without the Giants playing, if the Redskins or the Packers were in it. Okay, or the Steelers, if only that would ever happen again.

Its very simple: if Wang used his money to build the Lighthouse Project, Kate Murray and the rest of…Read More her party cohorts would not be able to control the jobs, patronage, contracts, etc. That is all that matters to them; the taxpayers they allegedly represent do not count and do not have a voice.

@Matthew Hogan: I seem to be missing something here.
Mangano announced plans to…Read More “reinvent” the Nassau Coliseum by bringing in Forest City Ratner Companies, the same developer responsible for Barclay’s Center. This is "to help transform the venue into becoming what the county described as ‘an attractive, state-of-the-art destination for sports & entertainment.’ "
Really?
Mangano is doing this NOW, AFTER Wang’s hand was forced by the TOH & Nassau County & was left with no choice but to move?
Why now?
Why couldn’t this have been considered BEFORE Wang was left with no option but to move?
How is that going to be paid for?
And how would the manner in which this is to be paid for now be any different vs. how such a course of action would have been funded with the Isles kept in place in Uniondale?
I don’t get it.
I would really like to see the media ensure making it a point to highlight this valid & legitimate aspect in order for this to be addressed as it should be & not glossed over, minimized, trivialized & conveniently brushed under the rug.
This just seems to perpetuate the perception of the pols being short-sighted baffoons trying to cover their a$$ in vain.
Yet more of the same nonsense from the same inept, dysfunctional gov’t officials being paid by the taxpayer.
Mind boggling & unbelievable.
Pathetic.
And unconscionable that they even have the temerity to act as though they are not complicit or culpable, as if they have done nothing wrong.
