Arthur A. Gianelli, president and CEO of the NuHealth System stated: "It matters to people thatRead More when they come in, they feel good," Gianelli said. If they feel good when they walk in then we no longer need the hospital, right? A miracle in the making.. Who knew..... ;o)

Vincent, he was doing his job. He was an accredited assessor with decades of experience. ManganoRead More dumped him for politics. Exactly what did you find wrong with him?

ed: You didn't answer my question either.

East Meadow Library has always been a very special place. I do believe it's the heart of ourRead More community. Anything you need to know can be found there. If you need help with research or want to how to upgrade your skills the staff is so helpful. As far as books, discs, playaway audio books, just check out the shelves. If you don't find what you're looking for, just ask. The icing on the cake (birthday cake? as our library celebrates it's birthday this month!) is the wonderful encouragement given to local artists, writers and photographers. The East Meadow community should be very proud to have all this talent in its midst! I'm looking forward to this Sunday's Juried Art Presentation - as I always do. All the more so to be there to congratulate my daughter, Katherine, for winning the Best In Show. Please come down and enjoy the lovely musical presentation and the refreshments. Congratulations and gratitude to all the staff at our East Meadow Library for making it such a welcoming community center. Happy Birthday to our Library!

A Home Depot is planned at a former K-Mart on Hempstead Turnpike..... Hmmm, if so sounds like theRead More one in EM is doomed...... Perhaps lease is ending and it is more prudent to relocate.. If it is closing I hope the owner has a tenant lined up.........

Rebecca, rebecca, rebecca, it is their job they have to pass a pysch course on how to deal withRead More people before they can do their job. And lets not forget no one is perfect we all make mistakes some a little worse then others don't be that person try and be something better
Rebecca April 5, 2013 at 01:54 am
Maybe so. But it's not the jail's responsibility to hold every inmate's hand and ask how they'reRead More feeling. This guy's suicide was HIS doing. No one else's. And lest we forget: He was driving while high on drugs, putting US all in danger. That is NOT the behavior of an honorable person, whatever their past is.

This is very sad. So many of the young men and women who come home are not properly cared for. ItRead More doesn't matter if their disability is physical or mental. We will never know what they experienced and how it affected them. The government needs to step up and put as much care into their return home as they do to prepare them for combat.
