David repented (turn away from your sin ) This pastor expects his sin and still allows himself toRead More continue to sit in it. The opposite of repenting.

You seem to be Ok to find judgement on a person's opinion about the problem of a pastor whoRead More committed adultery and who also doesn't feel convicted in his sin to repent (turn away from the sin) but you seem to have no problem with this partiicular pastor whom while married to his wife was having an adulterous relationship with someone in the congregation. This pastor needs a lot of prayer towards him repenting of this sin and the restoration of all relationships he had with God and his family members that are hurt by his actions. What He does not need is to be continually praised by anyone expecially as a Christian pastor. Maybe if you consider yourself a Christian you should read what God has written about the sin of adultery. Here are a few scriptures you can start with... Now I say to you that whoever divorces his wife, except for immorality, and marries another commits adultery." -Matthew 19:9 For out of the heart come evil ideas, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. -Matthew 15:19 adultery, greed, evil, deceit, debauchery, envy, slander, pride, and folly. -Mark 7:22 All these evils come from within and defile a person." -Mark 7:23 Look! I am throwing her onto a bed of violent illness, and those who commit adultery with her into terrible suffering, unless they repent of her deeds. -Revelation 2:22

No one is questioning this pastor's salvation because it is a free gift John 3:16. His conduct as aRead More pastor and his refusal to repent (turn away from your sin) is what is being questioned because he has chosen his sin over his position title of pastor. Because of this, people can be led by this pastor to do opposite of what God teaches in His word concerning the sanctity of marriage and the seriousness of the sin adultery. As Christians filled with the Holy Spirit we have all power to conquer sin by repenting. I think this pastor needs all of our prayers to conquer this sin that has entangled his feet. I believe he is no different than any of us but has no place remaining with a pastor title until he repents from adultery. (Repent simply means to turn away from your sin). The reason why this particular sin has such greater consequences more than other sins is because it is a sin of the body which is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

What is your evidence that this man is actually God's anointed? Is it because this person has aRead More title of pastor? Anyone can call themselves that. How has he been showing himself approved as an anointed pastor by God? By having an adulterous affair with someone in the congregation in front of his children and wife? You seem to want adultery to be allowed to flourish in the midst of God's presence but God will not be mocked.

Yes, there is God's Grace but we are to overcome sin with the power of the Holy Spirit. (Sin - beingRead More out of God's Will) And never ever think for one second that the bible gives any of us a license to sin because of God's Grace.

I was a member years ago before I moved out of NY, I did hear a little about an affair but this wasRead More after I left, I can confirm that this was a great church to go to and we did have 500+ members and that expansion project had begun its funding around 1997 don't know exactly when construction started but it took many many yrs of funding. I'm surprised to read that this congregation has only 20 members, wow, 20? Thats how many royal rangers we had back in my day.

I've been out of NY for many years, was a NCC member and used to look up to pastor Rob, any updates?Read More Is he still the pastor? Did he re-seek his elders (and friends?) I was reading that he told them to go away, I hope this changed

The only word that we are called to spread is found in John 3:16

God's church is still His church and His true believes are still serving Him. This place is just aRead More building were many of them use to meet together. And now because adultery was allowed to flourish by the owner of this building all of God's true believers went and found another building to meet in. This occurred because God will not be mocked and he will always guide and teach His own to the right path and show them where not to fellowship.

Pastors may have to adhere to a higher standard yes. But they are humans. The authority of theRead More church does not lie within the hierachy of the church, it lies within the believer. and who does this annointing? No Pastor ,no priest no Pope no Rabbi is without reproach. They are not immune from error. They are Human!! If they claim to be more they claim to be like God. I am not a devout member of any Church. But I know when I did attend New Covenent and listened to Pastor Rob I was moved and felt inspired. Everyone I brought there felt the same way. If he can sell scripture to me and the friends I brought there Amen!! I really stopped going because of all the holier than thou members . So I will just read my Bible and Worship at home . Or Maybe I will see if Pastor Rob is back and go to get a bit of ispiration. Please get off your soapbox no more of your Preaching you don’t inspire or convict. and that's all I have to say about that.

Yes, I've heard him preach too. He most defiantly has a gift to be able to emotionally move theRead More masses. But he made a mockery out of the entire congregation when the news of his infidelity came out. He was almost on his way to doing the right thing with a group of very respected leaders backing him up and the whole congregation supporting him. Then he turned around to go back to his infedelity and told all the leaders that were caring for him to get out because "This is my church and I built it, so it belongs to me." So that's when 500 people left. And now he has a huge building he can't pay for with his new wife by his side. No one was throwing rocks at him. But didn't Jesus do the same for the adulterous woman. And then Jesus said to her - "Woman, you have 5 husbands, go and sin no more." All those 500 people and many leaders we doing was not throwing rocks at this pastor but they did say "pastor, you have two wives, now go and sin no more." But pastor chose his sin instead. That's his chose. Now why he should he also try to have a position of pastor if he is choosing his infidelity instead? He should simply go get a regular job and live like other people do. But he wants his cake and eat it too. And how's that working out? The church doesn't even have a website anymore, no choir, no band and about 20 clueless people who occasionally are attending. He was so successful and had connections with other leaders throughout the country but he told them off and told them to get out. He now has no accountability to anyone but himself. All I'm hoping is that one day he will go back to these leaders whom are his friends and ask for help once again.
