Fortunoff Jewelry Trunk Show at GC Hotel This Weekend

A Fortunoff “pop-up” jewelry store will take over the Cotillion Room at the Garden City Hotel this weekend.

“At this time of year, so many former customers and friends reach out to tell me how much they miss our store,” said Esther Fortunoff-Greene. “They tell me their holiday trip to Fortunoff was a family tradition they’ve never replaced. I thought it would be great to let them re-capture a little bit of that magic.”

Open this weekend only, the “pop-up” store is expected to include a wide selection ranging from baby and 'tween jewelry, to fashion pieces, diamonds, pearls and higher-end precious gemstones.

The merchandise – priced from $50 to $2,000 – is provided by Fortunoff Fine Jewelry, the online retailer Fortunoff-Greene founded in 2010. There will also be a selection of items that are not yet available from the e-tailer and are exclusive to this event.

“We’ve had so much success with our business online, but I am most excited to be face-to-face with our Long Island customers; at least for one weekend,” Fortunoff-Greene said. “Being at the Garden City Hotel is an added bonus since it is as much a part of the fabric of the Island as our store was.”

Custom pieces created from Fortunoff-Greene's Designing Hope contest will also be available. Those items, "designed to evoke a spirit of hope for victims of domestic violence," were unveiled in October. They will be available for sale at the “pop-up” location and online. Proceeds will benefit The Safe Center LI and the Nassau County Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

Stop by the “pop-up” store Friday, Dec. 13, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 14, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 15, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
