Blood Drive: A blood drive will be held Monday, Oct. 21, from 3:30 to 8 p.m. at McVey Elementary School, 2201 Devon Street, East Meadow. All donors will receive a small gift.
Ribbon Cuttings: The East Meadow Chamber of Commerce will hold ribbon cuttings Tuesday at the following businesses: A Bagel & a Shmeer, 532 East Meadow Avenue, 11:30 a.m.; and Premier Care of East Meadow, 1919 Hempstead Turnpike, 12 p.m.
McVey 5K, Fun Run: The first annual "McVey 5K" steps off from George H. McVey Elementary School, located at 2201 Devon Street, at 9 a.m. Sunday. A 1-Mile Fun Run starts at 8:30 a.m. The race will culminate Red Ribbon/Wellness Week at McVey. For more info, click here.
