Coat Drive, Chanukah, Thanksgiving This Week

What's on tap this week in East Meadow.

Laughs at the Library: Comedian Mark Brier returns to the East Meadow Public Library Monday to host "Laughs at the Library" beginning at 1 p.m. in the downstairs meeting room.

Coat Drive: Temple Emanu-El of East Meadow will host a coat drive Nov. 25 through Dec. 6 to help those in need of warm clothing this winter. Click here for more info.

Calling All Artists: The East Meadow Public Library is accepting paintings, jewelry, sculptures and photography through Monday for its December miniature art show and sale. Artists may bring three pieces of work to the library's PR office today. Click here for more info.

Chanukah: Chanukah begins Wednesday, Nov. 27 and ends Thursday, Dec. 5. Check back this week for services being offered in East Meadow.

Turkey Donations: In support of Island Harvest’s annual Turkey and Trimmings Collection Campaign to help feed Long Islanders struggling with hunger during the holiday season, East Meadow's Panera Bread is among the many Long Island locations accepting non-perishable food items and frozen turkey donations now through Christmas Eve, Dec. 24.
