View Finder: East Meadow Kiwanis Holiday Food Drive

Residents of the local area collected donations at Waldbaums and Pathmark last weekend.

East Meadow community members donated their time this weekend to collect donations and raise awareness for those that are less fortunate.

The cause was to collect items for food baskets that will be delivered to 120 families for the Easter and Passover holidays. East Meadow Kiwanis does food drives and basket deliveries during the Thanksgiving, Christmas and Hanukkah holidays as well.

Participants included the K-Kids, the Builders Club and the Builders Club. Kids and adults manned tables at both and in East Meadow to try to nab customers as they entered the store. Many came out with donations for the cause, and Kiwanians encouraged any donation. There was also a cash donation as well.
