Jimmy Egan Named Eagle Scout of the Year

The East Meadow resident was recently honored by Councilman Gary Hudes.

East Meadow resident James “Jimmy” Egan was recently honored by Councilman Gary Hudes as the Eagle Scout of the Year at Troop 362 general meeting.

For Egan's Eagle Scout Project, he created a video called, “Going Green,” about enacting environmental initiatives in the household and the wilderness. His troop members assisted Jimmy in the production.

“I was delighted to share in the celebration of Jimmy Egan’s recognition as Nassau County’s ‘Eagle Scout of the Year as well as to commend Troop 362 for their assistance and support,’” said Councilman Hudes. “Jimmy’s Eagle Scout Project is a major step forward in creating a ‘Green’ World for all to live in and will benefit many for years to come.”
