The Kiwanis Club of East Meadow's 61st Installation of officers and board of directors was held recently at the Hempstead Country Club.
Town of Hempstead and Nassau County officials were among those in attendance, including Judge Joy Watson of Hempstead, Hempstead Town Clerk Nasrin Ahmad, Councilman Gary Hudes and Hempstead Town supervisor Kate Murray, who awarded East Meadow Kiwanis immediate past president Debra Kirsh with a citation for outstanding work helping children and families.
Also on hand for the installation were East Meadow Kiwanis Club president James Smith, First Vice President Kevin Kamper, Second Vice President Gary Fromowitz, Treasurer Brian O'Flaherty and Secretary Ross Schiller.
Installed on the Board of Directors were: Distinguished Past President Harry C. Demiris, Jr., Ellen De Rosa, Dan Feldman, Hon. Norma Gonsalves, Hon. Fred Hirsh, Helen Mettinis, Distinguished Past President Lisa Santer, Edward Rosenthal and Eric Vogel.
