Adrian Campodonico Honored with Corona Lions Humanitarian Award

He currently works as a correction officer at the Nassau County Jail in East Meadow.

Adrian Campodonico, who was born and raised in East Meadow, was recently honored with the humanitarian award for his service to the Lions Club in Corona.

The Kellenberg Memorial High School graduate spent a year working with engine one of the before taking his current post as a correction officer at the in East Meadow.

In 2005, he became a member of the Spartan Lodge #956 in Baldwin, and in 2009, he co-founded the Nassau County Sheriff's Department Columbia Association, a non-for-profit organization for Italian American police/peace officers and civilian staff. He is also a very active member of the .

"My strong family values and connection to my community resonate from knowing the sacrifices which my mother and father endured for me and my brothers," Campodonico said. "The way my father struggled when he came to this county makes me appreciate where I live and all that my community has to offer. That is why I am extremely passionate about giving back, not just to East Meadow, but to surrounding communities as well."
