As we gear up for the Father's Day weekend, many people are looking for events to enjoy with the men in their life, whether it's fathers, sons, brothers, uncles, grandfathers or someone else.

Here in East Meadow, there are plenty of events to enjoy. Here's a look at what's going on this weekend in the local area.

Friday, June 15

• Psychic Daniel Akner: Renowned psychic Daniel Akner is back at the at 7 p.m.! All tickets have been sold. All unclaimed seats will be released 15 minutes before curtain. We cannot guarantee to anyone that they will get a reading.
• : What's better to celebrate with dad than going to a festival? Come on down to Field 2 of between 6-11 p.m. to enjoy all that the event has to offer.

Saturday, June 16

• Family Pet Day: Bring the family to the at 12:30 p.m. for a collaborative program sponsored by EMPL and the Friends of the Library. Find that new special pet! Learn about grooming, pet care, and therapy dogs. Free pet treats and toys from Veterinarian Dr. Elizabette Cohen of CBS Radio. She will have her books available as well.

• : Nassau County and Canon USA will be hosting a series of “International Music Nights” at Eisenhower Park’s Lakeside Theatre throughout the summer. Greek American night will be held at 7:30 p.m..
