View Finder: EMJC Hosts Community Garage Sale

The event helped raise money for the East Meadow Jewish Center.

People from all over Long Island stopped by at the for the huge garage sale that was organized to raise some money for the EMJC.

The event, which took place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday and Monday, was run by local volunteers who brought many of their own belongings. 100 percent of the profits went to the East Meadow Jewish Center.

Also, people in the community got to rent spaces and tables for the event, although proceeds from what they sold were kept by each individual vendor.
