Local Residents Excel in Karate

Justin Lopez took home two first place prizes.

Christopher Lopez, a Junior to be at won first place in Forms/Kata and Fighting in his Boys 15-16 year-old division recently.

Ryan Lopez, a 2010 graduate of W.T. Clarke High School took fourth place in Forms/Kata in the Men's 18-35 year old Black Belt Division, while Justen Lopez, a fourth Grader this coming fall at  also won first place in Forms/Kata as well as first place in Fighting in the boys 7-8 year old division.

Christopher and Ryan Lopez has not competed in Sports Karate Tournament since 2002. This was their first competion after being out of Karate competition for over eight years.

They were former NY and NJ AAU Tae Kwon Do Champions as well as being rated in the top ten of North American Sports Karate (NASKA) and Sports Karate International (SKIL).
