LIVE BLOG: East Meadow vs. William Floyd for LI Championship

With East Meadow set to take on William Floyd in the Conference I Long Island Championship at William Floyd, there are plenty of local people who will not be able to get to Stony Brook University for the 4:30 p.m. start.

Last weekend, East Meadow 34-33 to become the Nassau County Conference I champion since 2006. A James D'Elia touchdown run sealed the deal for the Jets, who will try to see if they have one more win up their sleeve.

"Our kids believed they could win the football game right from the start and that was the key," East Meadow Coach Vincent Mascia said. "Limited turnovers and play sound. It was a classic, a fabulous day in our program's history."
