Light the Night Walk at Eisenhower Park

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society holds its annual Light The Night Walk on Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow. This walk and fundraising event is held on fall evenings all across the U.S. and Canada to honor those fighting cancer and bring them some hope.

Participants carry lighted balloons as a symbol of their support of their community. Red is for supporters and gold is in memory of loved ones lost to cancer. This is a casual fundraising walk with absolutely no fitness requirements. You can register to walk as an individual or as part of a team, you can make a donation online or you can become a volunteer or sponsor/partner.

Funds raised through the Light The Night Walk go toward research for better therapy and cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. This walk takes place rain or shine.
