Friendly Farm Fall Harvest and Halloween Freakatorium Fun

Friendly Farms,  832 Merrick Ave in East Meadow, presents a Fall Harvest and Halloween Freakatorium. Starting on Oct. 2 and every day through Oct. 30, the farm offers a wide variety of fall activities for the whole family in addition to a full complement of seasonal organic fruits, vegetables, flowers and plants.

Fun things to do for young children include pumpkin picking, pumpkin painting, stuffing a scarecrow, and face painting. There is also a hayride and a haunted house right on the premises.

Daytime tickets are $5 a person and include all activities. Tickets for the evening Freakatorium, which starts after 7 p.m., are $7 a person. The Freakatorium, which is open until 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Oct. 30, is not suitable for children under 10.

Freshly harvested vegetables include broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, squash and beets. Over 20 different types of local apples are available, including Honey Crisp. Fresh apple and pear cider are also available.

Friendly Farms also hosts birthday parties, Girl Scout and Boy Scout outings, and field trips. Call 516-486-2448 for more information.
