The 24th Bellmore Family Street Festival will be held on Oct. 2 and 3, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the Bellmore LIRR train station on Sunrise Highway in Bellmore. This annual event is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores.
Activities include sporting events, a costumed character parade, and demonstrations by skilled firefighters and police officers. Over 150 vendors will offer their handmade crafts for sale.There are plenty of activities for the kids, including magic shows, a Kids Expo, petting zoo, and pony rides. There will be free admission, free parking, and free shuttle buses. Admission to the exciting rides is available at a pay-one-price of $12 for kids. The Long Island Blood Services Bloodmobile will be on hand to provide on-site medical screenings. Live music will be provided by several bands. There are over 107 exhibits and attractions planned.
