Mercersburg Academy Quarterback Lou Buschi, formerly of , has officially pledged to play football next season at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania (an NCAA Division II school).

The 6-foot-2-inch, 220-pound Buschi garnered first-team All-Mid-Atlantic Prep League honors as Mercersburg’s starting quarterback and team captain in 2010. He accounted for 17 touchdowns (13 through the air and four on the ground) while throwing for 1,278 yards and rushing for 349.

“I knew very early that Lou would be a tremendous leader for our program,” Mercersburg Head Coach Dan Walker says. “He led by example, was a vocal leader, and spread his time between our older and younger players. His assets include a tremendous toughness, arm strength, and ability to run the ball. This was Lou’s first year in the spread offensive system so I believe his best football is in front of him.”
