On Aug. 8 and Aug. 10, kids representing in East Meadow participated in the Town of Hempstead's annual street hockey tournament at Shell Creek Park in Barnum Island.
The Junior Team consists of boys and girls ages 5-8 and the Senior Team has boys and girls ages 9-13. The children have been practicing twice a week for the entire summer.
Both teams played amazingly well and East Meadow's Veterans Park Seniors came in first place.
