Woodland Raises Money for Breast Cancer

Over $400 was raised for Breast Cancer research.

During the month of October, staff at joined together to raise money for breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment.

The Woodland staff participated in the fund drive by wearing jeans and/or pink to work on Fridays in exchange for a $5 donation that will support research and outreach programs. All participants were presented with a pink ribbon pin showing that they have joined in the fight to eradicate breast cancer.

A grand total of $475 was collected and donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the Lee Jean Company. School librarian Leslie Rausch, a ten-year breast cancer survivor, organized this fund drive.
