Anson Wang, an East Meadow High School student and Intel Science Talent Search semifinalist, was recently honored by the Town of Hempstead for his accomplishment.
Wang was given a Hempstead Citation by Town Supervisor Kate Murray and Councilman Gary Hudes at a town board meeting.

Wang, 17, was one of 300 students chosen as a semifinalist. He will receive a $1,000 award for his research. Additionally, EMHS will receive $1,000 to further excellence in science, math, and/or engineering education.
Wang's research project was titled, "Regulation of Memory Protein PKMzeta in Alzheimer’s Disease."
