Legis. Norma L. Gonsalves, R-East Meadow, recently attended the unveiling of the Nassau Educators Federal Credit Union (NEFCU) mural created by the Art Club under the direction of Dr. John W. Healy.
The mural depicts Long Island with all its beauty. It is on display in the NEFCU building located at 1000 Corporate Dr. in Westbury.
Gonsalves praised the East Meadow students for their talents and contributions in promoting a love of art.
“Dr. Healy has become the East Meadow School District ambassador trumpeting its many educational and cultural attributes," Gonsalves said.
Gonsalves added that she looks forward to working with the Woodland Middle School Art Club on another project in the fall.
