Parkway Kids Provide Pillows for Seniors

The community service project was entitled "Pillows for Seniors"

Third through fifth graders at recently conducted a community service project to make and provide pillows for senior citizens of in East Meadow, according to the East Meadow Herald.

Students donated a dollar towards the purchase of kits that were used to construct the pillows during the "Pillows for Seniors" community service program.

After the kids either made a pink or blue pillow for the seniors, they wrote decorated cards to be sent along with the gifts. Some were shared aloud before they were given to Judi Sheppard, the recreation director of Fulton Commons.
