NICE Bus Routes Improved for NCC

The n45 and n51 routes currently serving NCC now make all stops in and around campus.

Nassau Inter-County Express (NICE) bus service has improved for students and employees of Nassau Community College, according to www.nicebus.com.

"NICE service to NCC is utilized by thousands of students and employees each day, and it's important to make getting there from multiple locations easier and quicker," according to a service change alert on the website.

Effective Sept. 1, the n6X extension began making express stops at Hofstra University (at California Avenue) and all stops on the NCC campus. Additional local service on the n6 was also added for weekdays, Saturday and Sundays.

The Xpress stop at Westminster Road was replaced with the populated Springfield Boulevard location. NICE officials said a new express stop at Springfield Boulevard will help eliminate overcrowding at the city line.

Further, the n45 and n51 routes currently serving NCC now make all stops in and around campus. Six different routes serve the community college. Buses make stops on campus approximately every five minutes during rush hour and every 10 minutes mid-day.
