McVey Elementary School students recently performed the musical, "Bye Bye Birdie," according to the East Meadow School District.
The musical, which was directed by math teacher Charles Angeli, tells the story of teenager Kim MacAfee and how her world changes when newly drafted pop megastar Conrad Birdie enters her life.
Students performed classic songs such as “Put on a Happy Face” and “Kids” to a delighted audience.
