Local Educator Nominated for KJOY Teacher of the Month

Carrie, who teaches third grade at Meadowbrook Elementary School in East Meadow, is nominated for the monthly award.

A third grade teacher from in East Meadow has been nominated for KJOY's Teacher of the Month award.

Carrie, who's last name was not disclosed by KJOY, is up against five other educators to be named March's best educator. Whoever receives the most votes will receive a $500 school shopping spree at BJs Wholesale Club's newest location at the Arches Circle in Deer Park as well as a $100 gift card to Joseph Christopher Salon & Spa.

The following are the nominees:

  • Carrie from Meadowbrook Elementary School in East Meadow.
  • Elaine from Brandeis School in Lawrence.
  • Kristin from Lindenhurst Middle School in Lindenhurst.
  • Michael from North Bellmore.
  • Mike from Timber Point Elementary School in East Islip.
  • Rebecca from Jonas E. Salk Middle School in Levittown
