Hip Pickles Performs at Barnum Woods to Promote Anti-Bullying

The critically-acclaimed band taught students the importance of treating one another with respect.

Hip Pickles, a critically-acclaimed drum ensemble, recently performed at Barnum Woods Elementary School in an effort to promote the six pillars of character along with the district’s anti-bullying initiatives, according to the East Meadow School District.

The band that has been performing in schools and libraries for more than 15 years.

Through the band's interactive presentation called, “Music with a Message,” students had the opportunity to play along with the Hip Pickles band. By working together, the students were able to learn about teamwork and cooperation. 

Hip Pickles also emphasized the importance of treating others fairly and with respect.
