Oriental Medicine Workshop for Current and Past Breast Cancer Patients

Adelphi University, as part of the Meghan's Pansies fund, will hold an oriental medicine workshop on May 17 at the Alumni House for current and past breast cancer patients. Oriental medicine is supposed to assist in improving health and quality of life in those undergoing medical treatments for breast cancer, according to a press release from the school.

Oriental medicine works through several different treatments including massage, Chinese herbs, acupuncture and more. This workshop will invite patients to see a demonstration on some of these treatments.

Liz Snow, RN, MS, will be leading the program. Snow is an Oriental medicine practitioner who has a practice in East Norwich. She is nationally certified in acupunture and Chinese herbology. Additionally, Snow is a member of a task force that deals with the protocols for Oriental medicine with breast cancer patients and survivors.
