Lions Eye Bank Education Program at NUMC

To mark the National Eye Donor Awareness Month, the Lions Eye Bank of Long Island at North Shore University Hospital will be holding a free program at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow to educate the public about eye donation on March 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the lobby.

“Eye Donor Awareness Month offers a great opportunity for individuals to learn how they can make a difference in the life of someone who may need a sight-restoring corneal transplant,” said Kenneth Manger, program director of the Lions Eye Bank for Long Island at NSUH, in a statement from the organization.  “It’s simple to become an eye donor; sign up by visiting our website and enrolling in the New York State Donate Life Organ, Tissue, and Eye Donor Registry.”
