Holocaust Survivor and Author Speaks for Remembrance Day Program

Supervisor Kate Murray invites Town of Hempstead residents to come to the Clubhouse on Merrick Road for an evening of remembrance with Holocaust survivor and author Marion Blumenthal Lazan on May 1 at 7 p.m.

Lazan's memoir, Four Perfect Pebbles, is an acclaimed depiction of her experience as a Nazi concentration camp prisoner. She will bring guests through a period of terror and torture with her lecture for a special Remembrance Day program. Four Perfect Pebbles is used in schools throughout the country to show students the history of the Holocaust through a first hand account.

Space is limited in this program and tickets are free. Seats are available on a first come, first serve basis. Please call Barbara Badler of the Town of Hempstead Parks Department at (516) 292-9000, ext. 255. for additional program details.
