HIV/AIDS Awareness Week at NCC

Nassau Community College in Garden City will be holding HIV/AIDS Awareness Week for the 21st year. On Tuesday, Mar. 22 the school will be holding the following events:

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Physical Education Complex Field House:

  • Free Confidential HIV Testing
  • AIDS Memorial Quilt Display
  • Photo Exhibit
  • Resource tables
  • Museum of Sexuality: An exhibition on topics including marriage, dating and pornography.

10 a.m. at the Physical Education Complex, Room P117:

  • Talk AIDS with Scott Fried: Fried was infected with HIV during an unsafe encounter- his only one. He is an acclaimed lecturer who brings an open dialogue to students.

1 p.m. at the Physical Education Complex, Room P117:

  • Love Heals: the story of two young people living with HIV

These events are free and open.
