Free Child Safety Seat Check

Senator Kemp Hannon will be holding a free child car seat safety check on Apr. 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Eisenhower Park's parking field 2 (which is located near the playground).

This is an excellent opportunity for parents to ensure that their child is safe while riding in the car and that the seat is properly installed. Chris Mistron, a traffic safety educator from the Nassau County Traffic and Safety Board will be on hand to check for proper installation. At one of the events last year, Mistron found that 20 participants had the child's car seat not installed correctly.
