EMPL: "Abraham Lincoln and His NY Funeral"
On April 15, 1865, Abraham Lincoln died due to John Wilkes Booth's bullet. On April 29 his funeral train pulled into NYC, greeted by throngs of grief-stricken people. Historian Richard Sloan will be at EMPL on Feb. 25 at 12:30 pm to talk about this unusual outpouring of love and grief which gripped NYC on the death of Lincoln. Join us for this historical journey back in time during February, the month of presidents.
