East Meadow Schools Closed on Thursday
The snow caused officials to postpone classes until Friday.
The East Meadow School District will be closed on Thursday, according to a posting on the district's web site.
"Due to inclement weather, the East Meadow UFSD will be closed today, Thursday, Jan. 27," the posting said.
All afternoon and evening activities are canceled as well, officials said.
