East Meadow HS Student Chosen as Intel Semifinalist
Anson Wang was one of 300 students recognized for his research.
An East Meadow High School student was recently named an Intel Science Talent Search semifinalist.
Anson Wang, 17, was one of 300 students chosen for this honor. He will receive a $1,000 award for his research. Additionally, EMHS will receive $1,000 to further excellence in science, math, and/or engineering education.

Wang's research project was titled, Regulation of Memory Protein PKMzeta in Alzheimer’s Disease.
The semifinalists of Intel STS 2013 were selected from among 1,712 entrants. From this group, 40 finalists will be chosen to attend the Intel Science
Talent Institute in Washington, DC from March 7–13.
