A Kindergarten teacher from East Meadow has been nominated for the KJOY Teacher of the Month award.
Allyson, who's last name was not disclosed by KJOY, is up against five other teachers to be named September's best educator. The person who receives the award will win a $500 gift card to The Container Store.

- Jessica from Lindenhurst Middle School
- Linda from West Elementary School in Long Beach
- Lisa from John H. West Elementary School in Plainedge
- Thomas from J.W. Dodd Middle School in Freeport
