McCarthy Congratulates Clarke Middle School Students
The school was the only one in the district distinguished with the Blue Ribbon Award of Excellent.
Rep. Carolyn McCarthy, D-Mineola, recently visited students at , which was named a National Blue Ribbon School this year.
The Blue Ribbon Schools Program recognizes schools that make significant progress in closing the achievement gap or whose students achieve at very high levels. Clarke Middle School was one of four schools on Long Island to receive this designation.
McCarthy is pictured with administrators and students after presenting a plaque honoring the school’s accomplishments and containing remarks that McCarthy formally entered into the Congressional Record.
