Board of Ed Ready to Start Another School Year

The changed board is prepared to tackle another year of challenges.

In less than two weeks, the doors to East Meadow Schools will be opening and students will be back to the grind working on their education.

The district is welcoming back a changed Board of Education, with the following new developments.

  • Joseph Parisi is the newly elected president.
  • Walter Skinner is the newly elected vice president.
  • Trustees Corey Fanelli and Joseph Danenza were sworn in for new three-year terms.
  • Former President Brian O'Flaherty will remain on the board as a trustee.
  • Joan Franciotti took the oath as district clerk.
