On Thursday, May 12, Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano held a press conference in Eisenhower Park's Veterans Memorial to announce both Armed Forces Week, a tribute to the men and women who put their lives on the line to protect our country, and an expanded version of the annual Memorial Day weekend military helicopter landing event, held on the park's kite field.
