Eisenhower Park Dog Run Making Progress

After months of rumors surrounding whether or not the county would move forward with two proposed dog runs in Eisenhower Park, the plan has been given the go-ahead.

Legis. Norma Gonsalves, R-East Meadow, told Patch that she recently spoke to Bob Dwyer from Nassau County's Department of Parks and Recreation, and he said that they're looking to complete the project as soon as possible.

The gate to the dog run will be located at the corner of Salisbury Park Drive and Stewart Avenue, with the main part of the new facility running along Salisbury Park Drive.

One dog run would be for larger canines and the other for smaller. Gonsalves said that she'd like to see the dog runs completed by June.

You can spend 72 hours there, and not be able to do a number two because the toilet is covered in urine and feces, and your pillow smells like the last person who used it, and not shower for 3 days because they have no shower in the area. Go for it. I bet if your son was in there you would raise holy hell when he told you about the conditions in that section.

It's jail ... exactly... Not a place to put people who owe money for traffic tickets... Could you imagine getting put in jail for not paying your credit card bill but you still continue to shop? That's like not paying your expired inspection ticket & then they suspend your license & arrest you if you drive. They have the power suspend your license & to arrest you over an unpaid bill...Think about that!!! That's abuse at it's finest. Geeez when somebody owes me money I think I'll suspend their drivers liscense till they pay me. Most deaths at the jail aren't suicide... Pay attention folks... Maybe the kid who hung himself was claustrophobic, did anybody care??? NO... Now his distraught family has to suffer... That's just WRONG! The Feds need to step in & investigate these things...

Hey lifeisgood, did you ever break the law or are you Jesus Christ??? Take your head out of your rectum & think of your skeletons in your closet. Maybe you need a week in jail for things you got away with...
