The tight race between County Executive Ed Mangano and rival Tom Suozzi has both candidates crossing the region for campaign cash.
Mangano, who defeated Suozzi by fewer than 400 votes to win the seat in 2009, has set a fundraiser for East Meadow on Sept. 17.
The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. at The Carltun at Eisenhower Park.
Two tickets to the event cost $250.
