Elections are just around the corner and the race for County Executive is in full swing.

Both incumbent Ed Mangano and candidate Tom Suozzi are hitting the pavement and speaking with constituents to secure votes.

The most recent polls have put Mangano ahead 52 percent to Suozzi's 35, according to CBS.

Meanwhile, incumbent Hempstead Town Supervisor, Republican Kate Murray is up against Democrat Felix Procacci, a computer programmer from Franklin Square.

Republican Nasrin Ahmad is running as an unelected incumbent against Jasmine Garcia-Vieux for Town Clerk. Candidates for Town Council include incumbent Gary Hudes and Diane Madden.
