Nassau County Safety Fair for Families

The Nassau County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) will hold the First Annual Safety Fair for Families on April 28 and 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Wantagh Park, which is located at 1 King Road in Wantagh. The fair is open to all and free.

There will be demonstrations and giveaways, focusing on safety issues concerning boaters, swimmers, guns, traffic, fire and more. Representatives from the Nassau County Police Department, New York State Police, Nassau County Firefighters Museum, Nassau County Department of Health, Nassau County Parks department, National Weather Services and the Nassau County Community Emergency Response Team will be on hand during the event.

“I am pleased to be able to host the First Annual Safety Fair for Families because it provides community members with an opportunity to access the variety of resources that are available to them,” said County Executive Edward Mangano in a statement from the county. “I strongly encourage families to attend this event and not only have a great time, but also learn a variety of safety procedures should you need them.”
