Nassau County Mortgage Foreclosure Legal Clinic

A free clinic sponsored by the Nassau County Bar Association (NCBA) will be held on Nov. 15 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the NCBA headquarters in Mineola. This clinic is open to any Nassau County homeowner who is concerned about foreclosure issues or is already in the foreclosure process involving property in Nassau County.

Reservations are required; call the Bar Association at 516-747-4070 (Language Line available). Those attending the clinic are requested to bring their mortgage documents with them. Spanish-speaking attorneys will be available to assist Spanish-speaking homeowners.

Attendees will not only have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a volunteer attorney; they can also meet with housing counselors from the Nassau County Homeownership Center and the Long Island Community Development Corporation to discuss loan modifications. Attorneys from Nassau/Suffolk Law Services Volunteer Lawyers Project, which provides pro bono legal services for those who meet certain income guidelines, will participate, along with volunteer bankruptcy attorneys.
