Economic Development and Job Creation Public Planning Meeting

Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano will be holding a series of public information meetings on the economic development and job creation plan for Nassau County’s new “hub.” These meetings will examine the plans that are connected to the development of the sports/ entertainment facility to be built in Nassau County.

 “In order for residents to make an informed decision, I am committed to making sure all information is available to answer any questions the community may have,” Mangano said in a press release from his office. “I have made certain that the voices of our residents will be heard at a public referendum to be held on August 1.” 

The meetings will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. and unless otherwise specified. The times are as follows:

  • June 29 – East Meadow Public Library (1886 Front Street, East Meadow) from 1 to 3 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m.
  • June 30 – William Bennett Hicksville Community Center (28 West Carl Street, Hicksville)
  • July 1 – American Legion Hall (730 Willis Avenue, Williston Park)
  • July 11 – Jones Manor on the Sound Adult Home  (59 Bayville Avenue, Bayville)
  • July 12 – Long Beach City Hall (1 West Chester Street, Long Beach – 6th floor)
  • July 12 – East Meadow High School (101 Carmen Avenue, East Meadow) from 7 to 9 p.m. only
  • July 13 – Glen Cove City Hall (9 Glen Street, Glen Cove)
  • July 15 – Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building (1550 Franklin Ave, Mineola)
